When we decide to do or say something, we make that decision based on the very best information available to us at the time. It's only later that we become aware that the consequences are not what we anticipated. Therefore, the guilt and regret that can follow relate to the past. When we experience either or both of them, we need to forgive ourselves for whatever it was we did or did not do, and come into the present—and into our Heart space...and simply BE.
